I heard they bite

Hey, does anyone have a hamster? Do they make good pets?I mean, I know hamsters are pets, but are they good ones? Because I'm kinda thinking I want a hamster. Or maybe a parrot.

Also, what would happen if I accidentally set fire to the suite?

Is this something Lex should be concerned about?

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
The hamster or the fire? He's not allergic is he?

[identity profile] x-cynosure.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
That would be a no, then.

I have not had any experience with hamsters, but they seem to belong to that class of pet that never lose the fear that you are going to eat them and react accordingly.

[identity profile] x-scorpion.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
...What the fuck did you do?

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Well that's silly of them. I can't imagine they're all that tasty.

Should we get Lex a hamster? I'm so confused.

(Have I even met Lex? Has he (she?) been around much?)

Nothing!

[identity profile] x-scorpion.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
The hypothetical 'set fire to the suite' thing has me calling bullshit.

I am so not in the fucking mood to come back to all my things being toasted.

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
If I burned down the entire suite, don't you think you'd hear about it from some other source than my journal, like, say, the fire department?

(I'm assuming. Maybe we hhave backup systems in place where we don't have to call the fire department whith all the fflamey people about.)

Where ARE you, anyway?

[identity profile] x-scorpion.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Out. I'm out right now. It doesn't matter where I am.

And fuck if I know. It's just when someone asks "What would happen if I ____" that thing has generally happened.

So, just so we can be clear here, did anything fucking catch on fucking fire or not?

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Well, golly gee. I didn't mean to be all nosy. I just noticed you hadn't been around much lately and was wondering where you'd gone, if you were alive, and if not, if I could spread out into your side of the suite. Also, It'd be nice if we knew where you went so if, say, I burnt out the toaster oven, I could let you know that the basket of clothes you left out in the front room kinda smell like overdone English muffins and ask if you wanted me to wash them for you.

But I guess that's not all that important.

[identity profile] x-scorpion.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
I did tell you about the trip to Amara's place. And last night... I had a bad night last night.

I can wash 'em. I left them there, after all.

How did you burn out the toaster oven anyway? Of course, that thing is older than god.

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
I'd forgotten about the Amara thing. Oops, sorry. :( I'll take the sparkly hearts and flowers off your door. :) I hope you feel better tonight. Are you coming home?

The toaster over, though. I put in a muffin, I pushed down the button and FWOOSH! Fire! So then there was another fwoosh as I went after it with that little fire extinguisher and now the whole mess is in the trash somewhere. I guess we ask Kyle for a new one?

[identity profile] x-scorpion.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Sparkly ...? Nevermind, I don't wanna know. Yeah, I'll be back tonight.

Well, it was only a matter of time before that thing went up in a ball of fire. I swear, it was from the 70s. Go ahead and ask him about it.

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Just a few sparkles, I swear. And maybe some of those glow in the dark stars, too. You'll never eve know they were there.

Anyway, I emailed Kyle so hopefully we'll get a new one soon.

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
No, you should not get me a hamster.

By the way, I'm Lex.

[identity profile] x-scorpion.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
What is it with you and smiley faces in your emails?

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 02:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Hamsters are cute. You sure you don't want one?

Also, hi! I'm Jane. :D

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, they are cute... but I feel that would further open avenues of taunting by my peers, so I think I might shy away from it. That being said, if someone were to get me a hamster I would most definitely take care of it.

Pleasure to meet you, sort of. (As I can't really say it till I've actually met you, though I'm sure I've seen you around.)

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
A CHALLENGE!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Probably. :) I'm usually around here somewhere when I'm not being held hostage in Nathan's file room. :D

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-24 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that makes you an easy one to find. Doesn't it?

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes. :) Depends on who's looking for me and if I want to be found. :D

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well, consider this guy to be looking. :P I don't like having strangers living in close proximity to me. I know I haven't met many of the students yet, but I'm sure that'll change once the school year starts.

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not a student! :) I mean, I was, but it's been, gosh. three or four years now, I guess? Not that I ever technically graduated, but you know how that goes sometimes. :)

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I wasn't commenting on you being a student. I was simply cutting off another argument before it began. (Mainly that I haven't made an effort to get to know the students.)

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Why would there have to be an argument? :) I don't want to argue with you. I mean, maybe if I got to know you better or something, but I don't think we're quite there yet. :)

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's good. I don't want to argue with you either. I'm merely covering all my bases.

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes you don't have to worry about all the bases. :) They might already be covered. Or they're uncovered and are not the kind that need to be covered. Something. :) Whatever, extra covers are unnecessary. :)

[identity profile] x-lexington.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Well, in that case I'll just say hi again and sheepishly back into the shadows. If you want to find me I'll probably be in the garage, kitchen or DR for the next couple of days.

[identity profile] x-cloudy.livejournal.com 2009-08-25 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
OR. You could be less sheepish and come down to the rec room say hi and watch a movie. Or play Wii bowling or whatever. I won't even make you come all the way up to the suite (which is not that great a place at the moment anyway 'cause Cammie and I have managed to break just about everything in it anyway.) Sound like a deal? :)
