I think that I got it right.
Apr. 11th, 2004 10:54 pmDoc Samson said that I should use this space to talk about my feelings of recent events and get feedback from people about what THEY think about those recent events so I can better understand social norms, thus making me more confident. And, some other stuff. I forget.
So, there was a fire and it was scary. But I got to help out and that felt good. There was a little baby horse that was hurt and I felt really bad for it. I hope it is okay.
It was fun going out clubbing! Paige was being all silly about what she was wearing before we left. Amanda was being all silly about me having to wear leather before we left. I borrowed stuff and got to be dressed up. It was fun. I guess I really never thought about how clothes are like an artform/communication-thing before. I don't know how to express that thought.
I went to the meeting and joined Red X! I will get to learn all sorts of things about helping people. I'm very excited about this, because I think that I want to help people as a job. Maybe?
I also got to go out to the movies with everyone! It was great. And I met Bobby and we had ice cream and I absolutely ADORE ice cream. It was really cool, like Bobby.
Today was something called Easter, and there was also something called Passover before. One is about eating chocolate and the other is about not eating bread? I think there was stuff in my history book about them. They are like Christmas and the lighting-candles-holiday-that-I-can't-spell, right? I remember those from the institution, because everyone was sad. But Easter and Passover seem to be more happy, so that is good. Plus, my roomies gave me a chocolate egg with a cream filling!

Clothes can say a lot. How you want to be looked at, who you want looking -at- you, what your interests are, even how much money you have - or how much money you want to look like you have.
It can be a bit overwhelming if you have not had to think about it much - and a lot of people do not find it important. *I* don't find it important some days.
Easter is a Christian holiday, that celebrates the fact that we believe Jesus died and returned from the dead. The chocolate is ... secondary. Rather like candy canes on Christmas - it has nothing to do with the holiday, it is just something people added on.
Cadbury Eggs are good. They make ones with caramel and chocolate as well. Which reminds me, if you have not yet had one, I seem to have a large number of peanut-butter-cups in my room from an 'anonymous' gift giver.

Re: ...
I have never really noticed what clothes people wear. Is there a book or something that will tell me what different clothes mean?
Well, adding candy to holidays isn't bad, is it? Except when the candy gets taken away because it will interfere with your meds.
I have not tried peanut-butter-cups! Thank you, I will try one.

Re: ...
There are a few books on it. We could check at the bookstore at the mall.
Has anyone told you about Halloween yet?
I am lucky in that regard. Chocolate helps my headaches, so I am encouraged to have it from time to time.
I have two kinds. Regular and white-chocolate. Feel free to come get some. I cannot possibly eat all these.

Yes, I need to go to the mall. You offered to take me to get my art supplies, too, right? I would love to go with you. Thank you!
I will come right over.

I will have to see if I can shake loose someone to drive us. I cannot drive. Yet. Working on that.

Re: ...
I cannot drive, even though I am WAY old enough to. But thank you, I'm glad you don't mind taking me.

You need a driver? I could drive you two, if you wanted...

That would be good. :) Though, do you really want to be subject to us shopping for clothes?
Really, ask Jamie and Doug how horrible it was. They will talk for hours. Though...
You would look -really- good in certain shades of blue.

Now wait a minute...
I said I'd drive, not be your personal ken doll. I can always duck into the video store while I wait...right? I don't have to actually go into the STORES with you two...
Help? Someone? ANYONE?

ARGH.
I was just trying to...
Oh, nevermind. It doesn't matter, the point is I'm in for it now, aren't I? *sighs*

Well, I suppose. :)
It just is not a shopping trip without someone male along to torture though.
