Today is the greatest

So today I went to the mall to buy some shoes and the pet store had some shelter kittens up for adoption and they let me play with them! They are SO cute and little and squeaky. Kyle, does Shamu squeak? I never hear him squeak or anything. Although I only see him when he escapes, so that might explain it. Anyway, I played with kittens and bought shoes (blegh) and it was Good. :D

And then when I went to lunch, they goofed up my order, which wasn't a good thing, but they replaced it and gave me a free dessert because, well, they goofed up my order and so I had this really yummy chocolate lava cake and it was also Good. :D

And then I came home and there are babies in the basement, so I got to play with them for a little bit, too. and that was also Good. :D Babies are ADORABLE. I want a million of them someday. But not really a million, maybe like three or four because a million is just crazy. Also, OW, although I suppose I could adopt some of them.

So it's been a pretty Good day, altogether. :D Now if it just wouldn't rain tomorrow...

He peeps sometimes when he can see a bird. I think he thinks that if he peeps the bird will come visit him and then he can catch it. Not that he'd know what to do with a bird if he caught it, and also, he hasn't figured out windows yet and so he doesn't really get that there's something between him and the bird.

I totally want a baby. Just not right now. After college. Waaaay after college.

...huh, I never asked Ben if they'd had kids. Damn, missed my chance to know if there was an adorable mini-not-me running around.

I wonder if there's also another me running around in Ben and Other-Angel's reality and if I have kids. That's a really neat thought. :) Or if there are multiple mes running around out there with multiple kids! :D Maybe I'm not too far off from having a million babies after all! :D

And I totally bet that mini-not-you is scarily cute.

Sometimes it is not so much that people do not want the babies, it is that they cannot have them. It can be easier to say you hate them and do not want them than to remember there are things some of us will never be able to have.

Maybe, but that doesn't necessarily make it right or good. Or healthy. And just because someone can't actually physically have a baby doesn't have to mean that they can never have one to care for. There are lots of kids out there who need good homes. There's a bigger picture to look at.

Cammie cannot be living close to anyone for long without making them sick. I cannot touch without cutting a person up. I cannot even have the pet, because I am worried it would try to touch my face or my hair and be hurt.

I do not think either of us would be allowed to adopt children, Jane. So if we are trying to get used to the thought we will not have the children, please do not be saying we are not seeing the bigger picture.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Yvette. I think you're closing the door awfully early on this one, but it's your life to live. I guess this is one of those things where I think if you want it badly enough you can find a way to make it happen, even if that path isn't always the easiest or most obvious, or even immediately available. Things change. I'm not going to try to change your mind on this because I really don't want to argue with you but I think you're cutting yourself off from a lot of possibilities with that mindset.

And also, I think you should let Cammie speak for herself because she's really, really good at it.
